WordPress Maintenance

WordPress, kept current,
secure, and fast.

WordPress runs a huge share of the web, and it needs care every month to stay safe. We handle the updates, the security, the backups, and the fixes, so you never log in unless you want to.

The WordPress CMS is the only content management system we run. We know it cold.

What we do every month

WordPress maintenance, the whole list.

WordPress is software, and software needs care. Here is what happens to your site every month without you lifting a finger.

01

Core, plugin, and theme updates

Applied on a staging copy first, checked, then pushed live. Outdated plugins are the most common way a small business site gets hacked, and this closes that door every month.

02

Security and malware protection

Firewall, malware scanning, login hardening, and cleanup if anything hostile shows up. SSL is installed and kept current. If it gets in, it is our problem, not yours.

03

Daily backups and one-click restore

Automatic daily backups of the site and the database, stored off-site, with one-click restore from any snapshot. A bad update or a bad day is never permanent.

04

Speed and Cloudflare edge

Caching, image handling, and delivery through Cloudflare's global edge. WordPress can be fast when it is hosted and tuned properly. Most of our sites load in under half a second.

05

Remediation

If the site goes down, gets hacked, or starts behaving strangely, we find it and fix it. Cleanup is part of the plan, not a surprise bill. Around-the-clock uptime monitoring is available as an add-on.

06

Testing after every update

Forms, menus, and the plugins your site depends on get checked after each round of updates. An update that silently kills your contact form is worse than no update at all.

Why WordPress needs this

It is not set and forget. It never was.

Plugins move, whether you do or not.

Every plugin on a WordPress site ships updates on its own schedule. Skip them and the site slowly becomes the easy target. Apply them blindly and one of them breaks the page builder on a Friday afternoon.

The answer is not more effort from you. It is someone whose job it is.

Managed hosting is not maintenance.

Most managed WordPress hosts update core and leave the rest to you. The plugins, the theme, the broken form, the malware cleanup, the speed work: still your afternoon.

With us it is simple. Updates, security, backups, speed, and the fixing are ours. You email a change when you want one, and you get back to your business.

Static or WordPress?

We build and maintain both. WordPress is the only content management system we run, on purpose. Here is how we help clients choose.

  • Choose static when you want the fastest, hardest-to-hack option there is. No plugins, no database, nothing to update, and the same change takes about 3 to 10 times less time than on WordPress, so your included update hour goes much further. Essentials & Security for a static site is $150 a month.
  • Choose WordPress when you want to publish often, edit pages yourself, or run something that needs a CMS behind it. Essentials & Security for the WordPress CMS is $250 a month, and the extra $100 is the care it needs.
  • Either way it is fully managed. Same team, same email, same 24 to 48 hour turnaround on updates. If you are starting from scratch, custom websites is where that conversation begins.
The plan

One price. Everything in the table.

$250 a month

Essentials & Security for the WordPress CMS. Fully managed hosting on enterprise architecture, Cloudflare CDN, daily off-site backups, one-click restore, SSL, firewall and malware protection, remediation, dedicated staging, visitor tracking, emergency support, and 1 hour of content updates a month with 24 to 48 hour turnaround. See the full table.

Busy or revenue site?

Fully Managed Custom starts at 3 hours of updates a month with same day turnaround when possible, and the price is tailored to your software and hosting needs. Sites that change every week usually belong here.

Built elsewhere?

We take over WordPress sites we did not build, on any host. We start with a free site review and tell you what the move will cost, if anything, before we touch it. One email and it is handled.

Frequently asked questions.

Can you take over my existing WordPress site?
Yes, on any host. We start with a free site review and tell you what the move will cost, if anything. Then we move it onto our hosting, run a clean-up pass on plugins, themes, and anything left behind, and it is on the WordPress plan like every other site we run. You send one email.
What about Elementor, Divi, or another page builder?
We maintain them. Page builders are the plugins most likely to break on an update, which is exactly why every update on our plans runs on staging before it touches the live site.
Will updates break my site?
Not on the live site. Core, plugin, and theme updates are applied on a staging copy first. If something breaks, it breaks there, we fix it, and only then does it go live. Daily backups and one-click restore are the safety net under all of it.
Do I keep admin access?
Yes. It is your site. Log in whenever you want. Most clients stop, because emailing us a change is faster than doing it themselves, but the keys are yours.
How much does WordPress maintenance cost?
$250 a month on the Essentials & Security plan for the WordPress CMS, which includes hosting, every feature in the table, and 1 hour of content updates a month. Sites that change every week or carry real revenue go on Fully Managed Custom. Compare the plans.
